Converting a single residential dwelling into a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) requires strict adherence to specific regulatory standards. Our team ensured full compliance through the following scope of works:
- Fire Safety & Compliance: Upgraded all doors to fire-rated specifications (including closers and intumescent strips), enhanced fire resistance in the electrical cupboard, and installed a hard-wired smoke detection system with emergency lighting.
- Structural & Internal Remodel: Stripped existing facilities to construct new dividing walls, installed ply flooring, and fitted new frames, architraves, and doors throughout.
- Kitchen & Bathrooms: Full installation of modern shower rooms with PVC tile-effect wall panels and new sanitary ware; completed all plumbing for the kitchen and serviced the gas boiler.
- Remediation & Maintenance: Addressed damp issues in the hallway and party walls, improved ventilation, and performed essential floor repairs.
- Interior Finishing: A full repaint of all surfaces, installation of premium laminate flooring, and a comprehensive builder’s clean.
- Certification: Provided all necessary documentation and safety certificates to meet HMO licensing requirements.
